NEW KIDS IN TOWN! Total Soccer Fitness & Training Owner & Director Tom DeNigris (back row, white shirtin above photo) is proud to announce the newest members of the TSFT Family -- the Tinton Falls Soccer Club Girls' Under-19 Titans/Tornadoz. The girls play in the Premier Flight of the Monmouth-Ocean Soccer Association (MOSA). Tom was prviously the full-time trainer of the Tinto Falls SC Volcanoes (above photo).

TITANS/TORNADOZ CHAMPIONS

The Tinton Falls Girls U-19 Titans/Tornadoz, trained by TSFT Owner & Director Tom DeNigris, clinched first place in the Monmouth/Ocean Soccer Association's Spring 2020 Premier Flight Season. The girls ended the season with a 7-1-2 record, scoring a flight-leading 31 goals while also earning the flight's best defense, allowing only 13 goals for a +18 ledger, which included 3 clean sheets. In their seven victories the girls outscored their opponents by a 26-4 count! Congrats to the girls on an incredibly well-played season.

SMALL-SIDED DRILL/GAME

2 Teams of 5 players. Game Start: Each team places a "target" player over an endline. Goals are scored by passing to the "target" player. At that point, the teams then switch ends (transition). As seen above, Team Orange plays the ball to the "target" player and then immediately switches direction; so upon each goal scored, teams must get a "target" player over the opposite endline.

HOMEMADE SPORTS DRINK RECIPE
Players, find below two recipes for making your very own sports drink. Obviously, it is very important to keep hydrated throughout training and we always recommend bringing water or a sports drink to the sessions. And while water is an excellent hydrator, you lose more than just water during a workout. Important to replace elcetrolytes lost which is why a sports drink such as ROAR is better. But when all esle fails, why not try your own concoction. (Note: anywhere it states water, I recommend using coconut water. And anywhere it says sal, I recoomend sea salt.

Watermelon Workout Drink

Ingredients:

•1 cup watermelon, cubed

•1 cup coconut water

•squeeze lime

•Optional: dash salt if you are an extra salty sweater OR if the watermelon isn’t very sweet, this will help bring out the sweetness.

             SUMMER CAMP UPDATE

Due to a situation that we must address, the Total Soccer Fitness & Training's annual "High School Select Summer Soccer Training Program" is cancelled. This is the second year in a row we've had to cancel our very successful camp. Last year was due to the pandemic. 

As for our other summer camps --

• Goalkeeper Academy

THE TSFT WAY

Total Soccer Fitness & Training practice sessions include drills and games that emphasize the "Four Pillars" of soccer: Technical, Tactical, Physical and Psychological. Technical drills include dribbling, finishing, defending, and goalkeeping.  Tactical drills and games provide match-specific exercises to fit any tactical theme, such as possession, speed of play, attacking, and defending. Physical drills include all Speed, Agility & Quickness concepts: Speed, Agility & Quickness (SAQ) is an integral phase of all TSFT training sessions. After a proper Warmup Phase, teams enter the SAQ Phase which includes drills that train speed both with and without the ball. Above, players in our High School Select Summer Program are seen running the drill "Cones". TSFT also offers a winter training program, "Speed, Agility & Quickness for Soccer".
